Power Platform Assessment

Find out exactly where you stand before you decide what to fix.

Why an assessment

Organizations adopt Power Platform and build dozens or hundreds of apps, flows, and agents. Then someone asks: what do we have, who built it, is it secure, and is it governed? The answer is usually a shrug.

Our Power Platform Assessment gives you the full picture. Tenant-wide inventory. Risk ratings. Environment audit. Licensing review. Security posture evaluation. Governance gap analysis. And a prioritized remediation roadmap that tells you what to fix first and why.

Fixed scope. Clear deliverables. No open-ended consulting engagement.

What governance covers

We catalog every Power App, Power Automate flow, custom connector, Copilot Studio agent, Power Pages site, and AI Builder model across all environments. Each asset gets a classification: active, inactive, orphaned, or unmanaged.

We document every environment: type, purpose, owner, creation date, security configuration, and DLP policy assignment. We identify environments running production workloads without production-grade controls.

We evaluate Dataverse security roles, Azure AD group assignments, environment-level access controls, sharing policies, and connector permissions. We identify overprivileged accounts and data exposure risks.

We review Data Loss Prevention policies at tenant and environment level. We map connector usage across all apps and flows, identify unclassified connectors, and flag combinations that violate your data governance requirements.

We compare current license allocation against actual usage. We identify users with licenses they do not need, users without licenses they require, and capacity consumption trends for Dataverse storage, AI Builder credits, and Power Automate runs.

We assess your current deployment practices: how solutions move between environments, whether source control exists, whether CI/CD pipelines are in place, and how rollbacks are handled. We benchmark against Microsoft's ALM framework.

What governance covers

We evaluate your governance framework across eight dimensions: environment management, DLP policy, connector governance, maker enablement, monitoring and compliance, security model, change management, and documentation. Each dimension gets a maturity rating.

What you get

Every assessment produces named, tangible deliverables you can act on immediately.

Inventory Report

Complete catalog of every Power Platform asset in your tenant, organized by environment, with classification and ownership data.

Risk Heatmap

Visual summary showing which areas of your Power Platform estate carry the most risk. High-risk items include unmanaged production apps, overprivileged security roles, missing DLP policies, and orphaned flows with active connectors.

Environment Strategy Recommendations

Proposed environment model with naming conventions, access controls, lifecycle rules, and DLP policy assignments.

Security Findings

Itemized list of security configuration issues with severity ratings and remediation steps.

Licensing Optimization Report

Current vs. recommended license allocation with estimated cost impact.

Governance Maturity Scorecard

Ratings across eight governance dimensions with specific gaps identified and remediation recommendations.

Prioritized Remediation Roadmap

Sequenced action plan showing what to fix first, what resources each item requires, and how the items depend on each other. This becomes the input for your next engagement, whether with us or independently.

How we approach it

1

Week 1: Data Collection

We connect to your tenant through Power Platform Admin Center and run our discovery process. We need Global Admin or Power Platform Admin access. We collect configuration data, not business data.

2

Week 2: Analysis

We evaluate findings against Microsoft best practices and our implementation experience. We assign risk ratings and draft recommendations.

3

 Weeks 3-4: Deliverables and Review

We compile the reports, build the remediation roadmap, and walk your team through the findings in a working session. You leave with deliverables you can act on immediately.

Who this is for

This assessment is for organizations that have Power Platform in production and need to understand their risk posture before investing in governance, ALM, or platform expansion. It is also for IT leaders who inherited a Power Platform estate and need a clear-eyed view of what exists and what needs attention.

If you are starting from scratch and want to set up Power Platform the right way from day one, we do that too. The assessment is not a prerequisite, but it is the fastest way to define scope for a follow-on engagement.
